My last blog post

Today is the final day of this semester. That means that this is my last blog post. I hope you all have enjoyed my previous posts. For my last post, you will read about the process of creating a website which was an assignment in the module Writing for New Media.

I have never been that particularly good at working with data programs. Therefore, I became nervous when we got the assignment of creating a website. Now when I’m looking back, this anxiety was unnecessary.

My first step in my working process was to figure out what the website was supposed to be about. After some thinking, I decided to write about trekking the Annapurna Circuit without a guide. This was a thing that I did in 2018.

The next step was to decide what content to be included. I drew a mindmap and decided what my pages would be about. Before creating the website, I made a document where I wrote all the content. I made it in this order so I later could have a better plan to fit the content with the design.

To produce both the design and the content was fun. I noticed that I have learned a lot from the lectures in Writing for New Media. I used two methods that I learned so it would be easier to read the information.

On the first screenshot from my website, you can see that I have highlighted words. This to make it easier for the visitor to scan.

On the second screenshot, I have included bullet points. This also makes it easier for the visitor to scan and absorb information.

I want to thank everyone for reading my blog during these weeks. I hope you all will have a good summer!
